I have to remember this one more often....
Don't do anything that someone else can do. Don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.

Future?

Trying hard to get back on track. Still lot’s of work ahead but going…. Perhaps it’s the way to go. Now I have more opportunities than before to make real what’s going on my head.
Still can’t believe how mean and evil people can be without a proper reason….
Surprises in life
by admin on Jan.29, 2010, under Life
When I moved back to London I was suppose to stay with this “friends”, that by the way would not be here if I did not get them a place to stay at the time, even their memory is short, apparently.
Now, the funny part began when he told me that I could stay has long I needed to, and she put me on the street at 9 PM with -4 degrees Celsius. She, being his girlfriend, or so, since I know that she told my ex that he was just OK for the time being, and her real love was not him, not even close. No thing to say to everyone, I think… He does not know this, obviously. She is just taking the boat were she needs to go. The main reason she put me out was that I told her that she does not need to know all the details of my life, like I don’t need her details has well.
I do regret to have allowed them to stay in London, because by themselves, obviously they could not. Anyone who ever being in London knows that without help and no money, simply can’t be done.
He now thinks he’s the greatest, but I do remember giving him advice about getting job, and indeed tried to push him up. What he forgets his what he knows now, I learned 20 years ago. I have enough knowledge to wipe him of the face of the earth, but like all 20 someting they think they know it all. Wrong.
Other think that comes with time, is patience. No matter how long, I will make their lives miserable and put him out of work. What comes around goes around. 3 times fold.
No one in any circumstances put anyone, least a “friend” that help them, in the street, snowing, making him to carry everything to the car, knowing that I broke my spine a few years ago and could not do it.
The car, obviously was stolen,, given the fact that was full of stuff, including my iMac.
Just a note to these creatures, I will not forget. Joao Almeida and Teresa something

Perhaps a bit pointless, but I like snow. Just a bit in London but enough for some white pics.

Minority Report – the real one
by admin on Dec.12, 2009, under Life, Weird
Minority Report is a movie, for those that live most time underground, that’s based on one of the short stories of Philip K. Dick. In a nutshell we could say that is based around a police force with intervention capabilities, based on what you are going or might do in the future.
Well, it’s all sci-fi, it will never happen anyway. Wrong. One of the most inconsiderable laws in The UK is exactly that. Once you are in the possession of the keys of a vehicle and not fit to drive, you can and will, be arrested and heavily charged. No matter if you are just sleeping in the car, wondering around or even at home. What you may do in the future is being held against you, applied with all the force of it’s background laws. Of course, this is designed in a way you are always guilty for driving unfit, even if you are 10 miles away from the car.
Now, if these people don’t stop very quickly, look around for all the cameras and such and do something about it very soon, will be too late. If not already….
London Update

I used to live very near the Camden Market in Camden, now that’s a coincidence
, and had to go there after the big fire that happened some time ago and look how things changed. Here goes some pics.

Well, the last one is the World’s End Pub, also near by. And since this is London, a Pub is part of everything. I just hope this would not go the way Carnaby Street went, because that would be killing what’s special about this place.

Nothing special, some pics from London that I think are cool.

This has nothing to do with London but I want one, NOW!

I have a ton of them, but this ones are some that have a special meaning to me.

Well, just sharing some of my setup’s, in London. Berlin and Lisbon…

Depending of the place itself, it’s a combination, or mess if you follow my ex, MacBook Pro, Web development software, Linux in all self build desktops, including one as a Server, open source Firewall, old laptop that’s still useful, just don’t try Windows Vista on it – or in any other place btw -, several LCD monitors from various brands and sizes, music software, a professional CMC full size midi controler, Sansung incredible monitor with in-built tuner, an vintage Technics amplifier – i sold the newest one because this souded much better – Logitech MX-1000 mouse – still fully functional since several years. I wanted to find a replacement, but does not exist one -.
By the way, the girl in some monitores is my ex, so nothing weird about it.

Not a tech photo but cool.

Where all started…
by admin on Apr.21, 2009, under Life
Around 2000 I moved with my ex-girlfriend to London. At the time looked a good idea, since I was trying to pursue some kind of music carrier. Things done before that can be heard in http://www.myspace.com/5imperio. Since de quality was not bad I just went for it.
Things deteriorate over time and we split. After that I had a huge car accident, still have no idea what happened with my old BMW
My car was kitted as well and the one in the video looks a lot like it. Well, before the accident.
No doubt, I am still alive due to te fact, it was a BMW, the fireman for getting me out with enough care and the dozens of doctors and surgeons from the London Hospitals. I like my country, but I do believe with those kind of injuries I would not be writing this. I end up with a broken spine, ankles, brain thingy, massive cranial fracture, hold in place today by several titanium plates. And no, they don’t beep at airports
and a retina problem, so nowdays i am a proud owner of an alternative back of the left eye…Can’t get any girls because of that, but that’s life
).
My ex took me in, and I am really, really grateful, even she has no idea,l for her to take me all the time needed for recuperation, after several operations including one to remove the titanium clamps that were inside my back for a year. Well, hard times in a foreign country.
She returned
to Portugal, and that’s all I know from her since then. Wish her the best, even she’s a cleaning maniac, by the way, be aware
Worked in several different places, not always directly connected with IT but kept me going on. Managed to do my way up, trying to learn more IT stuff in the bits os time left, and got myself in a good position. Usually when a migrant moves country it tends to mix with yhe ones of their original land, but I did it far, far away from those. I felt more at home in London than any other place I ever been, and embraced their culture. Of course keeping the good parts of my origins.
During a part of my
time there, my Austrian girlfriend stayed with me for a long time and she would go with me every morning at 6.30 to the depot, get the stuff to fix for the day, and just stayed in the car while I was at costumers clients. fixing whatever Computer problem they had. We usually arrive around 22,23pm, after doing, sometimes 400 miles. Not much time to go to the computer and my things. Never realized how she could stand that…
After lots of work, managed to get a contract with Logica, one of the best company’s in the world to work in.

Unfortunately because a can be a bit damn stupid, I finish with Bernie, because of my age - stupid – and things changed a lot.
To spend sometime outside London and stabilize my head, I went to Berlin with a friend to spend some day’s. That’s another mistake of my life. I fall in love with the girlfriend of our host, complicated situation, she end up with him weeks after I left Berlin, I took the next plane and we sort things out. Such in a way that we were going to get married and everything. She managed to get a job as hostess at Easyjet because of this. All I can say is that accomplish this is not easy. Not at all. My respect for the hostesses raised 1000%, because normal passengers don’t know that the pilots, just do that, take off and land. All the rest is left to the crew, safety, procedures in emergency, everything that is happening in the plane. I probably would not passed the tests and training she went through. They don’t just serve coffee ans stuff, your lives much depend of the crew and even better if happen to be Germans, because the follow everything by the book…
At the time I was still in London and she was in Berlin. As this can be easily calculated, our relationship involved lots of plane travel, for me and her. Funny thing is that Franzis does
not like London. This was another problem. If we are going to stay together a decision had to be made. I did. I decided to move to Berlin. It’s an amazing place to live and I was a bit tired of London, anyhow. Sold my car and bought another one just for work
I give up my very good job, fill the most I could my Volvo 440 Turbo and drove to Berlin, not very far away from London. Complicated situation because my German was crap and I had to find something to do. Meanwhile perfected my programing skills in all related with Web and such. PHP, JavaScript, Photoshop, etc. I decided that finally I was finally intellectually equipped to do things that before I could only dream and start working all the waking hours working in a project. Of course, our relation does not hold to that, my fault, and finished.

We used to go to WGT in Leipzig, I think this is the first year I am going to miss it since a few years now..This is just a bit at the Agra entry point at the beginning.
I felt lost, empty and not knowing what to do. In a mad move took the car and the essentials, computer and stuff, and travel from Berlin to Lisbon in Portugal, sleeping just a few hours.
Now, we will see…
